Although I&#8217;d seen it many times, I&#8217;d never climbed it. In July 2020, my friend C\u00e9dric Gras, travel writer and mountaineer, asked me to accompany him on a few mountain hikes.  <\/p>\n<p>To acclimatize, we first climbed the D\u00f4mes de Miage. Then we decided to climb Mont Blanc via the Italian route. It does, however, require a good knowledge of the mountain, as well as rope skills and glacier walking techniques. Acclimatization is essential for a successful summit.
