Synopsis
The mountain has become a kind of barometer for the planet — a place where the effects of climate change are three times more visible than anywhere else. After a standstill year marked by the lockdowns of March and November and the closure of ski resorts, the high peaks have regained the look they had in the beginning. In this fragile cradle of beauty, a young, committed team sets out to cross the heart of the Alps on backcountry skis, determined to see for themselves the visible and invisible signs of a changing world — and to reflect on an issue that goes far beyond mountaineering. For ten days, cut off from civilization, a guide, a glaciologist, a writer, and a polar explorer — all under forty — will take the time to get to know one another and to share their thoughts, perspectives, and visions of the mountains and the wider world. Two men, led by two women, embarking on an honest and deeply committed adventure.
