Synopsis
The Arctic is warming three times faster than anywhere else on Earth. If Greenland’s ice were to melt entirely, its volume would be enough to raise sea levels by seven meters worldwide. For one month, explorer Matthieu Tordeur and glaciologist Dr. Heïdi Sevestre embarked on an unprecedented expedition to study the effects of climate change in Greenland. Unlike heavy, polluting scientific expeditions, they chose to travel by kite-ski—a nimble, zero-emission mode of transport. Setting out from Ilulissat on the west coast, they made their way 1,500 kilometers to the Inuit community of Qaanaaq at the northern tip of the island. Welcome to an extraordinary scientific expedition where the future of our planet is at stake.
