MATTHIEU TORDEUR EXPLORATEUR

Hello, my name is Matthieu Tordeur. I am an explorer and keynote speaker, and a member of the French Explorers Society. I’ve driven a Renault 4 around the world to promote microfinance, run 250 kilometers across the Sahara, sailed across the Atlantic, cycled through Europe, and kite-skied across Greenland. In 2019, I became the first French person — and the youngest in the world — to ski to the South Pole solo and unsupported. A passionate communicator, I use my expeditions to raise awareness about climate change and the preservation of polar regions. From Patagonia to Pakistan and Antarctica, this website gathers my adventures across 100 countries on all 7 continents.

SPEAKING

Matthieu is an experienced speaker who engages with both corporate audiences and the general public.

With passion, authenticity and humility, he captivates his listeners through the tales of his expeditions. His talks explore themes such as courage, risk and uncertainty management, motivation, and pushing beyond one’s limits.

Through his scientific expeditions, he also offers firsthand insight into the dramatic effects of climate change on our planet.

Le Continent blanc

Éditions Robert Laffont

“I gaze out at the vast expanse before me, gripped by a single thought: I’m going to be alone in this immense desert for the next seven weeks. It’s dizzying. It hits me right in the gut.”
On November 24, 2018, Matthieu Tordeur set out on a fifty-one-day journey across Antarctica. Harsh and uninhabited, the White Continent would reveal itself to him only through extraordinary effort — and in complete solitude.
In this account, the adventurer shares moments of fear and doubt, but also of wonder and grace. Ultimately, he reveals his true journey: from the South Pole to his “inner pole” — a story of how, to survive, he became truly polar.”
